Day 1: Arrival Day Cairo


Arrival Day: Welcome to Egypt (Fri-Sun-Tues)

Our representative will meet you prior to baggage collection to assist you with the purchase of your entry visa, customs and baggage collection.

You will then be transferred to your hotel, our representative will assist with check-in procedures and brief you about tomorrows visit to the Pyramids.

The rest of the day is free to explore the hotel area and get some rest for your adventures ahead.

Day 2: Pyramids Sphinx Saqqara


After breakfast you will meet your Egyptologist/Tour Guide at the hotel to start the journey at the very beginning, the Step Pyramid at Saqqara, the first free standing building of stone in the whole world dating back to 2700 BC.

Lunch will be served at a local restaurant before we explore the Giza Plateau, your chance to personally stand where the Ancient Egyptians stood thousands of years ago, next to the Great Pyramid of Cheops, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World and the only one that still exists.  

Later, an experience not to miss is venturing down into the burial chamber of Chephren (second Pyramid).

We continue our adventure with a camel ride through the Sahara for those who are interested (optional extra cost).

We finish our visit to the plateau with the Guardian Angel of the area, the monolithic and iconic Sphinx.

The day is not over yet, we will now experience how the ancients recorded their history on the first paper ever produced, Papyrus, at a government regulated Papyrus Institute.

Day 3: Museum and Markets


This morning your guide will meet you at your hotel and get in amongst the crazy Cairo traffic, which is an experience in itself.

You will visit the thousands of treasures on display inside the Egyptian Museum, including the famous Golden Mask of King Tutankhamen, the youngest Pharaoh to rule Egypt. There are simply too many pieces to see in one visit but your guide will highlight some special artefacts and give you time to wander at your leisure. You will find items such as granite sarcophagus and perfectly sculptured giant statues to ancient tools, mummies, chariots and even some board games played by the Pharaoh's.  

Your guide will then take you to Khan el Khalili Bazaar in Old Cairo to enjoy lunch in a local cafe then free time to wander the narrow streets and practice your bargaining skills with the local vendors. 

Transfer to Airport for evening flight to Aswan

Day 4: Aswan Philae Temple


Nile Cruise (Mon-Wed-Fri)

We take a motorboat to Agilkia Island to visit of Philae Temple dedicated to the Goddess Isis 

Free time to optionally visit of Aswan Markets by night.

Day 5: Nile Cruise/KomOmbo Temple


 Set sail to Kom Ombo for the unusual double Temple of Kom Ombo constructed during the Ptolemaic Dynasty and dedicated to two gods – Sobek and Horus.Sail to Edfu & overnight on board in Edfu.

Meal: Beakfast, Lunch & Dinner



Day 6: Valley of the Kings/Hatshepsut


The tombs of the Pharaohs’ were at one time cut deep in the mountain and contained all the treasures they needed in the afterlife. Nowadays we can view the paintings and hieroglyph’s depicting scenes of daily life and offerings to the Gods.

There will also be the opportunity to visit the tomb of King Tutankhamun, the only mummy still in its tomb in the Valley of the Kings (optional extra ticket)

We will have a quick photo stop at the massive twin statues depicting the Pharaoh Amenhotep III commonly known as the Colossi of Memnon before explore the Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, arguably one of the strongest women to rule in ancient times and the only one to rule with the authority of a male 

Overnight on board cruise in Luxor.

Day 7: Luxor - Karnak Temples


Optional Hot air balloon ride floating high above the West Bank of Luxor

Our visits today include the large complex of Karnak Temples and the religious complex of Luxor Temple.

Late afternoon fly back to Cairo, upon arrival drive to your hotel

Day 8: Departure Day Cairo


Enjoy breakfast and some time at your hotel until it’s time for our representative to meet and transfer you to airport for your departure.
