BIBLICAL HOLY LAND TOUR

DAYS: 8 DAYS / 7 NIGHTS

DAY 1: ARRIVAL TEL AVIV AIRPORT

 

Welcome to the Holy Land tour, on arrival at Ben Gurion International Airport, our airport representatives will meet and assist you. Transfer to your hotel in Tel Aviv – the modern city and nearby to Jaffa. Check in at your hotel for dinner and overnight.


DAY 2: CAESAREA-MUHRAKA-MEGIDDO-TIBERIA


After breakfast at hotel, drive along the coastal plain to Caesarea, once the Roman capital of the region; visit the excavations of the ancient city, the Roman theatre and aqueduct. It’s known for Caesarea National Park, which includes a large Roman amphitheater and the historic port. On the site is an archaeological park with pillars and sculptures, and the remains of a hippodrome, with frescoes and stone seating. Proceed to Muhraka, the site of confrontation between Elijah and the prophets of Baal; enjoy the spectacular view of the Jezreel valley and the lower Galilee. Continue to Megiddo: Tel Megiddo, or the plains of Armageddon as it is sometimes known, is approx. 30km East of Haifa.  It has been the place of many battles throughout the ages and was also the place of many settlements, most of which have been discovered layered one on top of the other through archaeological digs. Today however, Megiddo is most well known as the place where the last battle described in the Bible will take place – Armageddon. The book of Revelation describes the plains of Megiddo as the place where armies will congregate to fight in the final battle before the 2nd coming of the Messiah, Yeshua (Jesus Christ). Proceed to Tiberia for dinner and overnight. 


DAY 3: TIBERIAS-CAPERNAUM-BANIAS-TIBERIAS


After breakfast at hotel, enjoy a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee; visit the Yigal Alon center where the "Jesus’ boat", an ancient fishing boat from the 1st century, is displayed. Continue to Capernaum on the northern shoreline of the Sea of Galilee to visit the site and Synagogue where Jesus preached, healed the sick, and performed many miracles. Stop at Tabaha; the location of the Miracle of the Loaves and Fishes, in which Jesus is said to have fed a large crowd with just five loaves of bread and two fish. Proceed to Mount of Beatitudes the place where Jesus delivered the sermon on mount. Drive to the Banias Springs, then back to the hotel in Tiberias for dinner and overnight. 


DAY 4: CANA-NAZARETH-BEIT SHEAN-JERUSALEM


Breakfast at hotel, then we ’ll drive to Cana to visit the Wedding Church, where Jesus performed his first miracle turning water into wine. Continue to Jesus’ childhood town, Nazareth. In Nazareth, you’ll visit the Biblical sites such as the Church of the Annunciation, St. Joseph’s Workshop and Mary’s Well. Continue to Beit She’an, one of the ancient Decapolis cities, on the way, you’ll stop at the Jordan River Baptism site where John the Baptist baptized Jesus. Beit She’an is the city where Saul and his son Jonathan were nailed to the walls. Continue Passing Jericho to the Golden City of Jerusalem, dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.


DAY 5: JERUSALEM-OLD CITY


After breakfast, we will spend this day in the Old City of Jerusalem. Begins with a panoramic view from the Mount of Olives, overlooking the walls of the old city. Explore the wonders of Jerusalem, such as the Church of All Nations, Mount Zion visit the tomb of King David, and the room of the Last Supper. Take a walk through the Cardo, which was the main street of Jerusalem 2000 years ago, while viewing the Temple Mount and the Western Wall. Walk along the Via Dolorosa, held to be the path that Jesus walked, carrying his cross, on the way to his crucifixion. Continue to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre the site where Jesus was crucified, known as Calvary, and the tomb where Jesus was buried and then resurrected. Continue through the colorful Arab bazaar to visit the Garden Tomb. Dinner and overnight at hotel in Jerusalem. 


DAY 6: JERUSALEM-NEW CITY-BETHLEHEM-SHEPHERDS FIELDS


Breakfast at hotel, explore the new city of Jerusalem. Visit Yad Vashem, Israel’s memorial to the victims of the Holocaust. Continue to Ein Karem is the birthplace of John the Baptist. The Virgin Mary visited her cousin Elizabeth who lived in Ein Karem. Proceed to Bethlehem to visit the Church of the Nativity; ancient church built over the grotto that is believed to be the site of the manger in which Jesus was born in Bethlehem. Continue to the Shepherds Fields where the angels announced Yeshua’s birth to the shepherds, time for shopping in Bethlehem. Drive back to Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.


DAY 7: QUMERAN-MASADA-DEAD SEA-JERUSALEM


Breakfast at hotel, drive through the Judean Desert to the Qumran caves, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. Visit the ancient city of Qumran and drive along the shore of the Dead Sea, the lowest place on earth, to Masada, a palace of Herod the Great, and also the last stronghold of the Jewish zealots after Jerusalem was destroyed in 70 AD. Continue to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth and enjoy the opportunity to float in the unsinkable water and cover yourself with mineral-rich mud. Back to the hotel in Jerusalem for dinner and overnight. 


DAY 8: JERUSALEM-DEPARTURE

 

After Breakfast, Check out from your hotel, transfer to TLV Airport 4 hours Prior to the flight departure.
