SECRETS OF OMAN 1

Days : 6 Days / 5 Nights

Day1: ARRIVAL IN MUSCAT 


Arrival in Muscat. Assistance and transfer to your hotel. Accommodation.


Day2: MUSCAT CITY TOUR 


City Tour – Grand Mosque - Royal Opera House - Al Alam Palace – National Museum – Mutrah 

We will start the day with a panoramic city tour of Muscat. We'll continue with the Grand Mosque, the most important in the Sultanate of Oman, built in the finest Arab-Islamic style between 1995 and 2001 in Muscat, with a capacity for 20,000 worshipers. Next, we'll visit the Royal Opera House Muscat (ROHM), the main venue in Oman for musical arts and culture. Then, we'll visit AlAlam Palace, the Sultan's residence, for a photo stop outside, followed by a visit to the National Museum, known as the Bait AlFalaj/Nadir bin Faisal bin Turki Museum. We'll end in the traditional Mutrah neighborhood, where you can stroll through the souk with its oriental atmosphere. Dinner and accommodation at the hotel. 


Day3: MUSCAT - JABREEN – BAHLA – HAMRA – NIZWA – MUSCAT 


Breakfast. Departure from Muscat to Jabreen to visit Oman's finest castle built in the late 17th century. This castle has extremely well-planned designs with spaces for the "Wali," ladies' bath, kitchen, "Majlis," etc. Most roofs are adorned with beautiful paintings featuring Islamic motifs. We'll stop in Bahla for a photo of the fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Later, we'll visit Hamra, a 400- year-old town in the Ad Dakhiliyah region, northeast Oman. Finally, we'll head to Nizwa, the ancient capital of Oman in the 6th and 7th centuries, now a popular tourist attraction with its historic buildings and imposing fort. Free time for lunch and to visit the souk. Then, we'll visit the fort, with its huge round tower built in the 17th century to defend the inland route. After the visit, return to Muscat. Dinner and accommodation at the hotel.


Day4:MUSCAT – WADI BANI KHALID – WAHIBA SANDS– ACCOMMODATION IN WAHIBA 


Breakfast. Departure to Wadi Bani Khalid, considered Oman's largest, most famous, and beautiful oasis. You'll have the opportunity to enjoy natural emerald-colored pools surrounded by palm trees in a desert landscape with rocks and steep cliffs. Wadi Bani Khalid has been developed to accommodate visitors with various bridges, rest areas, and a restaurant, all carefully designed not to diminish the oasis's natural beauty. We'll continue to Wahiba Sands and enjoy a 4X4 excursion for sunset. Dinner and accommodation at the hotel. 


Day5: WAHIBA – SUR – WADI SHAB – BIMMAH SINKHOLE – MUSCAT 


We'll depart on the coastal road to Sur, where we'll visit the Aiyga neighborhood with its delicate white colonial-style houses and the shipyard that still builds the famous wooden dhows (traditional Arab sailing boats). Continuing along the coastal road to Wadi Shab, where the wadi's water forms a set of beautiful natural pools and waterfalls in different shades of green and blue, protected by towering mountains. Access to the gorge is by boat, followed by a 40-minute walk inland. We'll stop at Bimah Sinkhole, a 100- meter diameter sinkhole resembling a crater under the sea (swimming possible). Return to Muscat. Dinner and accommodation.


Day6:MUSCAT - AIRPORT 


Breakfast and transfer to the airport at the agreed time.
